The ancestry database shows the data of the ancestry tree in different views and allows the data to be edit or create new entries. It is even possible to have links between ancestries and show them in the tree view. Pictures of persons are also possible. In Pictures with a group of persons all known persons can be identified and linked together. Source documents can be added to persons like images and linked to other persons.
The search functionality makes this system complete.
To edit or create a person a personal account is required.
Data protection
All ancestry and family tree data are treated in accordance with the German Civil Status Act
and the German Data Protection Act. Therefore, non-logged in users (guests) will only see data
from long-dead people. Registered users see all their own data, the data for which they have
been activated by other users and all data of long-dead people. Images, descriptions and sources
are generally only available to registered users.

The access to the application uses an encrypted connection using https, so the data cannot be viewed by third parties while transmission.
When will be persons public viewable
Persons will be public viewable if the death or burial is more than 30 years ago.
If they have no death or burial, the birth or christening must be 130 years ago.
If no event is available for a person, the data of the descendants and the ancestors
will be used to get a public date. For this a generation is calculated with 30 years.
If no event is found to calculate a public date the person is not visible public.
