In the treeview the ancestry data will be shown over many generations. To get a tree
view choose a person in the detail view and click on
the symbol .
Here choose the amount of generations you want to see.
Hint: The creation of a tree view is not trivial and so it will last up to one
minute dependent of the amount of data.
Male persons are shown with a blue background, females are red. Partner informations will be shown as horizontal lines between the partners. Details of this partnership will be shown above the line. The ancestry line will be shown between the partnership line and the children to show the dependencies.
The view can be zoomed in or out. To do this there are two possibilities:
Use the mouse wheel to zoom between 100% and 1%. The second way is in a small
detail window. This window has a titlebar with a plus and a minus sign in it.
A click on one of this signs will zoom in or out. on the right side of this signs
you will see the current zoom level. If you click into the titlebar and drag it, you can move the
small detail window arround. The tree itself can also be moved with click and drag.
On touch devices the tree and the info window can also be moved with a swipe of a finger.
Pinching with two fingers on the tree zoom in or out as long as both fingers reside above the tree.
If the mouse touches a person frame, the persons data will be shown in the small detail
window. The background color of that window changes among with the sex of the person.
The ancestry lines to the parents, the partner lines and the ancestry lines of the children are
marked red. Once the mouse pointer leaves the person all lines remain black again. The small
detail window captures the data as long as an other person is touched.
On touch devices the highlighting can be achieved with a long press on a person.
If a person frame in the tree is clicked the view changes to the detail view. The last created tree can then be brought back via the symbol . Here you can choose "last Treeview". The tree will then be shown in the last position and zoom level.
